Spring Study Tour Season | Immortal Valley of Sanqingshan Welcomes a Thousand-Student Study Group

As an old Chinese saying goes: Knowledge from books alone is superficial; true understanding comes from personal practice. The warm spring with blooming flowers presents an ideal season for students to step out of classrooms, embrace nature and receive experiential education. Recently, Immortal Valley Area of Sanqingshan received a large study tour group of nearly one thousand participants, reflecting the booming local spring tourism market.

The field trip kicked off at Sacrifice Park. Marching in neat youthful formation, teachers and students attended themed activities to remember revolutionary martyrs and carry forward the red revolutionary heritage.

History serves as the finest textbook. Inside Sacrifice Park, through guided narrations, historical map viewing and exhibition hall visits, participants learned about the heroic feats of the Northward Anti-Japanese Advance Detachment led by Fang Zhimin in the Huaiyushan and Sanqingshan area. They revisited the arduous wartime years, traced the extraordinary revolutionary history and paid tribute to the fallen predecessors, rooting the revolutionary spirit deep in their hearts.

Beyond red-themed education, outdoor experiential development constituted another core part of the itinerary, enabling students to gain joy and personal growth through hands-on activities. Endowed with abundant tourism resources and profound revolutionary culture, Immortal Valley has evolved into a well-loved destination for study tours by virtue of its distinctive strengths.

To further expand Sanqingshan’s study-tour industry and upgrade supporting services, the local authority has established the Sanqingshan Study Tour Center. The center oversees daily operation, market development, itinerary planning, curriculum design as well as the compilation and production of promotional materials. Its diversified themed study programs cater to varied educational needs, including:

·        Scientific exploration tours combining Sanqingshan and the Geological Museum focusing on geological research;

·        Red education tours at Sacrifice Park commemorating revolutionary martyrs;

·        Agricultural practice programs based in Immortal Valley;

·        Popular science tours featuring alpine plant biodiversity across Sanqingshan;

·        Eco-conservation study focusing on Yuya Stream, the headwaters of Xinjiang River.
