United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the core framework of the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development," officially adopted at the United Nations Summit in 2015. They are a global development action program led by the United Nations and jointly formulated by countries around the world. The goals comprise 17 objectives and 169 specific tasks, with the core purpose of "harmony between people and nature," coordinating the three key dimensions of ecological protection, economic development, and social equity. They aim to promote a more balanced, resilient, and green sustainable development future worldwide and address global challenges such as climate change, poverty, and inequality.

Sanqing Mountain World Geopark and SDGs

Global Geoparks are the 'practitioners' in achieving the 17 goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. They are recognized by UNESCO as 'sustainable development experts'—their core mission is to protect geological heritage, conduct geoscience education, and promote regional sustainable development. As a UNESCO-recognized World Natural Heritage and Global Geopark, Sanqing Mountain has always taken the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its core guide. Based on its own geological sites, ecological resources, and regional characteristics, it integrates the protection of geological sites, maintenance of biodiversity, development of eco-tourism, inheritance of traditional culture, and empowerment of community prosperity, putting SDG concepts into practice through concrete actions.
