The Regulations on the Administration of Sanqingshan Scenic Area in Jiangxi Province, adopted at the 22nd Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Tenth People's Congress of Jiangxi Province on July 28, 2006, is hereby promulgated and shall come into force as of August 1, 2006.
Regulations on resource conservation of Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark prohibit unauthorized construction, mining, logging and fossil collection, require prior approval for research and filming activities, and impose penalties including fines and criminal liability for violations.
Geological heritage constitutes the principal resource of Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark. Strengthening the management and protection of geological heritage is the primary responsibility of all staff members and local residents of Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark.
Interim Measures for environmental protection of Sanqingshan divide sanitation, sewage and air pollution control responsibilities among scenic area authorities, townships and units, and impose fines from RMB 10 to RMB 50,000 for violations.
Regulations on forest fire prevention of Sanqingshan prohibit open fire and substandard electrical equipment, require annual fire safety agreements and equipment for all units, and mandate prompt reporting of fire incidents.
Regulations on forestry pest control of Sanqingshan define forest pests, prohibit entry of unquarantined forest plants and pine products into the scenic area, require routine inspection and monitoring by all units, and offer rewards for reporting pest-infested trees or illegal pine product transportation.
