Commemoration of the 49th Earth Day
April 22 is the 49th World Earth Day. Its theme is "cherish natural resources and protect beautiful land - tell our earth story". In order to publicize and popularize the national conditions and policies of land and resources, further arouse the awareness of human beings to love the earth and protect their homes, and publicize and recommend Sanqingshan, on April 20, the Shangrao Municipal Land and Resources Bureau, together with Sanqingshan Land and Resources Bureau and Sanqingshan Geopark Administration, launched the Earth Day educational activity of "one exhibition, one lesson and many activities" in Jinsha Visitor Square and Sanqingshan school.
On the day of the event, teacher Liu Ying, the content director of Nature History, was invited to bring a vivid popular science lesson to the children. Through "What is the earth?" Volcanoes -- a small experiment to understand the window of the earth, the life experience of Sanqingshan UGGp, rocks and volcanic eruptions made the children experience an interesting journey of science education. After class, teacher Liu Ying and local teachers discussed science popularization education and shared ideas on local science education curriculum development, curriculum design, teaching methods and so on. Local teachers benefited a lot.
Meanwhile, activities were held at Jinsha Tourist Square to mark Earth Day on April 22, including a themed exhibition, banner signing, distribution of geological disaster science education manuals and Geopark brochures, scanning a QR code to follow the Geopark’s official WeChat account, filling out questionnaires, and free consultations. Through concrete actions, visitors were called on to participate in protecting the Earth. The event was lively, with many tourists and community residents taking part.
