After three years of investigation and evidence collection, the Giant Python Peak climbing case in Sanqing Mountain was publicly adjudicated on December 30, 2019, becoming the first civil public interest litigation case in the country for intentional damage to natural heritage and famous scenic spots. The handling of the case conveyed the judicial value orientation of protecting natural heritage and famous scenic spots, and played a demonstrative role in promoting the protection of geological relic resources. To this end, the museum specifically established an ecological and environmental judicial education base to provide a detailed display of the case.
