On January 9-10, 2013, the 2012 Annual Working Conference of China Global Geopark was held in the Danxiashan UGGP,Guangdong. Delegates of 27 global geoparks from 17 provinces (cities and autonomous regions) and the Hongkong Special Administrative Region attended the conference. After Sanqingshan UGGp officially joined the large family of global geoparks in 2012, it participated in the China Global Geoparks Conference for the first time.
The main work carried out in the declaration and evaluation, communication and cooperation, GGN website and international conferences in the 2012 China Global Geoparks was reviewed and the main work in 2013 was deployed in the conference. Around the conference theme of "strengthen the scientific explanation, popularize geology knowledge", six delegates from the Henan Institute of Geological Survey, China University of Geosciences, Taishan UGGp, Hong Kong UGGp, Alashan UGGp, Shilin UGGp and Danxiashan UGGp had a discussion and exchange, combined with practical work on how to strengthen and build a complete geopark scientific interpretation system and the popular science system.
During the period, Sanqingshan UGGp, as a new member of the global geopark network, delivered a speech in the conference, introducing construction, development and management situations of the Sanqingshan UGGp.
