On November 14, the 2017 China UNESCO World Geopark Annual Conference was held in Ningde World Geopark, and Mount Sanqing World Geopark sent personnel to participate.
At this conference, more than 200 people from the Ministry of Land and Resources, the Department of Land and Resources of Fujian Province, relevant provincial and municipal leaders, as well as 35 world geoparks from across the country, 2 candidate members of the World Geopark Network, representatives of relevant (district, city) departments (bureaus) in charge of geoparks, and experts and scholars gathered to exchange results and share experiences.

During the conference, new members of the World Geopark Network, Alshan and Keketuohai, respectively introduced the basic situation of geopark construction, development, and management; Zhijin Cave Global Geopark shared the gains and experiences of hosting the 5th APGN Conference; The Ningde Global Geopark, as a typical case of driving local economic development through geological parks, shares its experience; Multiple units such as Guangwu Mountain, Huanggang Dabie Mountain, and Shennongjia have made declarations and exchanged experience in re evaluation; New members of the GGN (Global Geopark Network) assessment team will exchange experiences. At the same time, the flag handover ceremony of the World Geopark Annual Meeting will be held, and the conference has confirmed that the next World Geopark Annual Meeting will be held at Yandangshan Global Geopark.
