On April 25th of this year, the 12th Earth Science Culture Week with the theme of "Cherishing Natural Resources, Caring for Beautiful Land - Telling the Story of Our Earth" successfully kicked off at China University of Geosciences (Beijing). Multiple media outlets such as Beijing Morning Post and iQiyi reported on the event on site.

It is reported that during the theme promotion event, a series of activities were carried out in various forms, including electric bike experience, creative painting, mineral science popularization exhibition, message to China, and science popularization lectures. The "Take You on a Tour of Geoparks" project, led by Dr. Xu Kejian, a teacher from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and Deputy Director and Secretary General of the Tourism Science Popularization Committee, and supported by the Tourism Science Popularization Committee of the China Science Popularization Writers Association, has attracted numerous participants.

At 9 o'clock in the morning, the geological park publicity volunteers began to arrange the venue in an orderly manner. At 11:20 noon, the "Take You on a Tour of the Geological Park" activity officially began. In this activity, the participants were provided with scientific brochures, popular science books and other materials of the geopark, and the knowledge of the world geopark was explained in combination with the content of the materials, vigorously promoting the Mount Sanqing and other geoparks. At the same time, geological park themed souvenirs were given to the students, fully mobilizing the enthusiasm of the participants. Many college students, teachers, parents, children, and foreign students participated, and the atmosphere on site was very lively. Volunteers distribute prizes and promotional brochures while introducing the basic knowledge of the geopark through exhibition boards. After reading the "Take You on a Tour" series of popular science books, participants expressed their longing for the beautiful scenery and wonders described in the books.

Important geological relics are precious natural resources, human wealth, and an important component of the natural ecological environment. Popularizing knowledge about geological parks can better protect geological relics and cherish our home planet - the Earth.

The cultural week activities will continue until April 28th, with various forms of exciting activities presented every day in the vibrant spring campus and strong science popularization atmosphere.
