At 7:15 a.m. on June 8, amidst the sea of clouds and mist-shrouded peaks of Sanqingshan Geopark, filled with laughter and cheerful voices, the 2018 Sanqingshan Air Trail Run kicked off at Jinsha Visitor Square in Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark.

This air trail run reached a new high in both the number of participants and overall scale, attracting over 1,000 runners from around the world, including China, the United States, France, Italy, Malaysia, Germany, Singapore, and Indonesia.
The race consisted of multiple courses: the ST60 route (60km group, 7:15–20:00), the ST30 route (30km group, 7:30–15:00), the ST15 route (15km group, 7:45–12:00), as well as designated track routes for the ST60 group, including start/finish points, trail landscapes, and CP/SP checkpoints. Sanqingshan, offered participants a uniquely comfortable and harmonious running environment, allowing them to experience an extraordinary air trail run.
Looking into the distance, thousands of peaks vied for beauty, and countless valleys shimmered with mist. After being refreshed by the rain, Sanqingshan's scenery became even more enchanting. Surrounded by swirling mist, gentle breezes, and lush greenery, runners of all ages, young and old alike, appeared valiant and spirited as they dashed through the sky. They strolled amidst the clouds, ran through the mist, and pushed forward along the skywalk trails at an altitude of 1,500 meters, challenging themselves and experiencing the ultimate thrill and boundless charm of high-altitude trail running.
