In response to the call for science popularization and study tour activities issued by the Ministry of Education and other ministries and commissions, and in accordance with the Measures for the Selection, Awarding and Supervision of Geoscience Popularization and Study Tour Bases (Camps) of the Geological Society of China (for Tiral Implementation), the Geological Society of China has carried out the recommendation and selection of the first batch of Geoscience Education Base.

Following evaluation by experts and in accordce with Document No. Dihui Zi (2020) 51 issued by the Geological Society of China, 33 units including the Geological Museum of Kunming University of Technology and Sanqingshan Geological Museum have been awarded as the " First Batch of Geoscience Education and Research Base (Camp) “ by the Geological Society of China, including 17 venues, 5 resource conservation bases, 6 scientific research and experiment bases, 2 enterprise industrial parks, and 3 science education camps. The Geological Society of China will present plaques to the abov units at an appropriate time. The valid period is from June 20, 2020 to June 19, 2023.
