From October 19 to 21, a delegation led by Tang Chaoyun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Administrative Committee of Leye-Fengshan UGGp, China, visited Sanqingshan UGGp for investigation and exchange, sharing advanced ideas and experience in geological heritage protection, science education and research, tourism development, etc. Wu Hua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Sanqingshan Administrative Committee, and Yang Jingcai, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Sanqingshan Administrative Committee, Ye Qingwu, Hu Yaguang and other leaders successively accompanied.

On the evening of October 19, Sanqingshan UGGp and Leye-Fengshan UGGp jointly signed a friendly cooperation agreement, officially signed a sister geopark agreement. The two sides will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of geological heritage protection, management and construction, scientific research and education, information exchange, publicity and promotion, so as to promote the effective protection of geological heritage resources and the sustainable development of the Geopark.

On October 20, the unveiling ceremony of the sister geopark of Sanqingshan UGGp and Leye-Fengshan UGGp and the symposium on the development and management of UGGp were held in the Sanqingshan Geological Museum. At the symposium, the delegation watched the special film on the progress of Sanqingshan UGGp, and the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the expansion of the Geopark, planning and construction, geological heritage protection, brand construction and promotion, museum management and other aspects, sharing management experience.

The delegation also conduct on-site inspections of the Geopark, Sanqingshan Geological Museum, Sanqingshan Region-Based Smart Tourism Command Center, the Immortal Valley Area and the Beautiful Village of Baqi.They gained  a detailed understanding of the geological resources, biodiversity, geopark planning and tourism development projects of Sanqingshan. The delegation stated that they were deeply impressed by the impressive natural landscape, rich and diverse landforms, and effective protection and management of Sanqingshan, and highly praised the work of Sanqingshan in area management, infrastructure construction, geoconservation, social and economic development, and geological education.

Sanqingshan will take this opportunity to further strengthen tourism and promotion cooperation with sister geoparks, focus on geological heritage protection, scientific research and education, foreign exchange, so as to improve the development and management of the geopark.
