On November 17, 2021, the official website of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China publicized the evaluation results of the first batch of National Model Unites for Civilized Tourism by the National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee. Sanqingshan UGGp was included in the list and awarded as one of the first group of National Model Units for Civilized Tourism.

On November 17, 2021, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China announced on its official website the results of the first group of National Model Units for Civilized Tourism, as evaluated by the National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee. Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark was recognized and honored as one of the first group of National Model Units for Civilized Tourism.

In recent years, while enhancing its facilities and services and promoting its high-quality tourism resources, the Sanqingshan UGGp has also focused on diversifying its tourism offerings and strengthening civilized tourism practices. Specific initiatives include: (1) launching the public awareness campaign "Beautiful Sanqingshan, Civilized Tourism"; (2) extending the "Beautiful Sanqingshan, Civilized Tourism" campaign to communities, enterprises, and schools; (3) carrying out targeted activities to improve tourism behavior; (4) organizing volunteer services to guide and promote civilized tourism; (5) conducting civilized tourism campaigns during major holidays; (6) enhancing education and training for tourism professionals; and (7) advocating green tourism and improving ecological and environmental quality.

The designation as a National Model Unit for Civilized Tourism represents national recognition and encouragement of Sanqingshan’s efforts in promoting civilized tourism. Moving forward, the Sanqingshan UGGp will continue to advance civilized tourism with even higher standards and more rigorous requirements. Let’s join hands with Sanqingshan in this endeavor.
