From January 9th to 10th, 2013, Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark attended the 2013 China Global Geoparks Annual Work Conference held in Danxiashan UNESCO Global Geopark of Guangdong and this was also the first China GGN Conference that Sanqingshan attended.

Representatives from 27 global geoparks presented the Conference which reviewed the major works done in 2012 by China’s Global Geoparks concerning application and appraisal, communication and cooperation, GGN websites and in international conference and deployed major works for 2013. As a new member of GGN, Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark introduced its construction, development and management situation.  

Villuercas-Ibores-Jara Geopark is located in the southeast of Caceres Province of Spain. With its fractured and folded landscape under vehement geological force as well as abundant natural eco-system, it was listed as a global geopark in 2011 September.
