The International Youth Volunteer China Action, jointly launched by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee and the Chinese Society of Education, entered the Mount Sanqing World Natural Heritage Site on August 4-8. Nearly 40 international young volunteers from 9 countries and regions including France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Mexico, and Brazil are conducting volunteer activities such as resource conservation and environmental protection promotion here.
During the five-day trip, the international young volunteers experienced the natural landscape of Mount Sanqing by climbing the trail on foot, and learned about the granite geology and landform of Mount Sanqing, rich wild animal and plant resources, profound historical and cultural connotation, as well as the protection and management status of the scenic spot. They said that Mount Sanqing is a rare material and spiritual wealth of mankind and an unrepeatable historical relic. We should protect this human treasure in strict accordance with the requirements of the World Heritage Convention.
