Recently, a joint investigation team led by Hong Deyuan, an academician of the CAS Member, Liao Wenbo, a professor of Sun Yat sen University, and other domestic authoritative botanists conducted an in-depth investigation and study on the species and composition of plant resources in Mount Sanqing World Geopark.

It is understood that the forest vegetation in Mount Sanqing belongs to the evergreen broad-leaved forest in the eastern part of the central subtropical zone, with 2373 species of higher plants, among which many rare plants such as alpine euonymus margaricus, taxus chinensis, ginkgo biloba are the key protected objects of the state.

With the topics of botany, plant ecology and environmental protection, resource botany, etc. in the construction of ecological civilization, the expert group and the delegation inspected the distribution of plant resources in Mount Sanqing on the spot, collected a large number of physical specimens, and exchanged and communicated with relevant personnel on how to carry out the next step of scientific research cooperation with the park. The expert group said that Mount Sanqing has a wide range of plants and high scientific research value. It is necessary to fully protect these precious ecological resources and promote the sustainable development of the park.
