From June 19 to 22, the Executive Board of the UNESCO World Geoparks Network appointed two experts, Nicolas Zou Ruosi (Greek) and Jos é Brilhar (Portuguese), to conduct a field assessment and investigation on the application of Mount Sanqing for the World Geopark. Through the field investigation of the scenic spot and listening to the relevant work reports, the two experts had a deep understanding of the rich granite geology, geomorphology and biodiversity of Mount Sanqing, and highly praised the protection and management of the scenic resources of Mount Sanqing.

On the morning of June 20, two experts, Nicolas Zou Ruosi and Ruoze Brierha, visited the Fenshui Exhibition Center of Mount Sanqing, watched the TV film of Mount Sanqing applying for the World Geopark, listened to the work report, and discussed with relevant personnel on the relevant issues of applying for the World Geopark. Zhu Yinjian, the vice mayor, delivered a speech, briefly introducing the geological and geomorphic characteristics of Mount Sanqing and the measures taken to protect and manage the scenic spot.

Later, two experts, Nicolas Zou Ruosi and Ruoze Brierha, spent two days along the route of Monty Python Observation Platform - Oriental Goddess - Jade Platform - One Line of Sky - Xixia Port - Plank Road on the West Coast - Sanqing Blessed Land - Fengmen - Jade Spirit Temple - Pastoral Pastoral, inspecting the granite geology and geomorphology, ecological environment, biodiversity, Taoist cultural relics and aboriginal tourism development projects of Mount Sanqing, and listening to the introduction of the accompanying personnel on the management and protection status of Mount Sanqing.

On the afternoon of June 21, two experts, Nicolas Zou Ruosi and Ruoze Brierha, came to Xikeng Community to investigate schools, communities, museums, etc., and learned about the participation of community aborigines in the protection, management and development of Mount Sanqing Geopark. Later, a feedback meeting was held in Jinchen Mountain Villa. The two experts said that they were deeply impressed by Mount Sanqing's impressive natural landscape, rich and varied geological landforms, and effective protection and management through the field investigation and assessment of Mount Sanqing. We hope that we can provide more data and academic basis, fully excavate, display and reflect the value and characteristics of Mount Sanqing Geopark, and add more weight to Mount Sanqing's application for the World Geopark. It is reported that two experts, Nicolas Zou Ruosi and Ruoze Brierha, will write a complete investigation report in the near future and submit it to the following World Geopark Review Conference for discussion, so as to finally confirm whether Mount Sanqing is awarded the World Geopark.

It is understood that Mount Sanqing officially launched the declaration of the world geopark in 2005. At the recommendation meeting of the world geopark declaration units held in Beijing in January 2010, Mount Sanqing stood out from dozens of declaration units and became the only declaration unit of the world geopark in 2012 in China.
