Mount Sanqing in Jiangxi Province is a large science park famous for its densest and most diverse peak forest landform among the known granite landforms in the world, rich vegetation community after 200 million years of tempering, and more than 1600 years of Chinese Taoist cultural relics. This is a model place of harmonious coexistence, coexistence, and mutual prosperity between humans and nature. It is the first world natural heritage site in Jiangxi and the seventh in China. It is a newly developed national "5A" level tourist attraction and is praised as a treasure of all mankind and a spiritual home. In order to strengthen the scientific protection of geological heritage resources in Mount Sanqing and realize the sustainable development of regional society and economy, with the support of governments at all levels and competent departments of land and resources, the Mount Sanqing Party Committee and the Management Committee regard the creation of the geological park brand as a top priority of Mount Sanqing, and have made remarkable achievements. In 2005, Mount Sanqing successfully applied for the National Geopark. In 2010, Mount Sanqing was included in China's 2012 declaration project through the sixth domestic recommendation review meeting for world geoparks organized by the Ministry of Land and Resources. In August 2011, the full text of Mount Sanqing's application for the World Geopark was completed and submitted to the Ministry of Land and Resources for review. It will be submitted to UNESCO for review before the end of the year. The application of Mount Sanqing for the World Geopark has made significant achievements, and now it has entered the stage of preparing for the visit of United Nations experts.
Since the establishment of Mount Sanqing National Geopark, with the establishment of various tourism brands and the improvement of the park's infrastructure, the social and economic undertakings of the park have achieved leapfrog development. During the "Eleventh Five Year Plan" period, Mount Sanqing has achieved a leap from 300000 to 3 million tourists, and the annual average growth rate of major economic indicators has reached more than 40%. In the first three quarters of this year, Mount Sanqing received 3.1511 million tourists from home and abroad, a year-on-year increase of 62.61%, and achieved a comprehensive tourism income of 2.46 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 59.97%. The number of tourists, annual growth rate and ticket income all rank among the top scenic spots in the province. Mount Sanqing has become one of the top geological parks in China. In practice, the conceptual support, intellectual support and financial support given by competent departments and institutions at all levels during the establishment of the Geopark is one of the driving forces for the brilliant development of Mount Sanqing cause. 2011 was the beginning year of the 12th Five Year Plan and the year of the change of county and city party committees and governments in China. The Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government established the development strategy of Jiangxi's green rise in the central region. In response, the new Shangrao Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government proposed the strategic goal of building Shangrao into a "livable, business friendly, and tourism friendly modern regional center city". Shangrao aims to leverage its location advantage as a bridgehead in eastern Jiangxi, fully connect with the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone, Haixi Economic Zone, and Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone, and implement sustainable development. The tourism industry has been established as a strategic pillar industry by provinces and cities, and is bound to usher in a flourishing spring of development. Just at this time, Mount Sanqing applied for the World Geopark to go out of the country and entered the inspection preparation stage. As the main force, fresh force and pioneer of Shangrao and even Jiangxi tourism, Mount Sanqing should follow the trend, take advantage of the situation, make great achievements, and take bold actions. Standing at a new historical starting point, firmly grasp the historical opportunity, and quickly promote the inspection preparation and application work, so as to comprehensively optimize the park environment, improve the strength of software and hardware, accelerate the industrial transformation and upgrading, promote the sustainable development of regional society and economy, make great strides towards world-class geoparks and tourist attractions, and realize the goal of "domestic first-class and world famous" national parks. The main measures include:
1、 Mobilize the whole mountain, follow the general trend, and deeply understand the importance and necessity of Mount Sanqing's application for the World Geopark.
First of all, it is an inevitable requirement to ensure the success of Mount Sanqing's application for the World Geopark. The World Geopark is an international cooperation action advocated by UNESCO. From the perspective of the national situation, the enthusiasm of the provinces for declaration is high, and the competition is very fierce. The declaration of Mount Sanqing can achieve significant results in the stage. It is the long-term support of governments at all levels and competent departments, and the consistent and persistent result of Mount Sanqing. It is hard won. Therefore, it is a good opportunity to promote the transformation and upgrading of the current Mount Sanqing tourism industry to do a good job in the declaration and inspection, and earnestly implement the scientific concept of the World Geopark.
Thirdly, it is the strategic need for Mount Sanqing to implement the decision of Shangrao Municipal Party Committee and Municipal People's Government to "build a modern central regional city suitable for living, working and traveling". This strategic goal is a wise decision made by the Shangrao Municipal Party Committee and Government under the guidance of the Scientific Outlook on Development, regarding the current and future development ideas of Shangrao. From the practice of more than ten years of development of world geoparks in China, it can be seen that the advanced concepts, intellectual support, and financial support brought by geoparks will benefit the areas where the geoparks are located. With the application and construction of Mount Sanqing World Geopark, the Geopark pays attention to improving the scientific grade of tourism and promoting the concept of sustainable development of regional economy. The intelligence and financial support that competent departments and institutions at all levels will bring to the Geopark is of great significance to the long-term development of Mount Sanqing's economy and society, to the expansion, strengthening and refinement of Shangrao's tourism industry led by Mount Sanqing, and to the promotion of the implementation of the strategy of Shangrao Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to "build a modern central regional city suitable for living, working and traveling".
2、 Clear tasks, closely follow the theme, and successfully complete the application for the inspection of the World Geopark.
1. High standards and strict requirements, using inspections to promote work. One key focus of the inspection work is to apply for the preparation of self-assessment (A) form explanatory materials, which includes five major aspects: geology and landscape, management institutions, information and environmental education, geological tourism and sustainable regional economy, with a total of more than 200 sub items. Create a strong and enthusiastic atmosphere at the foot of the mountain, enhance the awareness of cadres and workers to welcome inspections, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of workers, and form a pattern of everyone caring about, supporting, and participating in inspections. In combination with the training of science popularization knowledge applied for by the Geopark, we will take the opportunity to carry out a scientific knowledge training training for cadres and workers, tour guides, the masses, farmers and students all over the mountain, comprehensively improve the comprehensive quality of Mount Sanqing practitioners, so that everyone can understand the geological science value of Mount Sanqing, learn advanced tourism development concepts, and everyone can become an interpreter and propagandist of Mount Sanqing.
3. Grasp the key points of inspection and form the highlights of inspection. The focus of the inspection work is "one meeting, two lines". The conclusion of the World Geopark Investigation Group experts' investigation on Mount Sanqing is the key to the success of Mount Sanqing's application for the World Geopark. It is necessary to understand the living customs, work habits, and hobbies of the experts in advance, and adopt a combination of Eastern and Western cultures, as well as foreign and local cultures, with a focus on highlighting local cultural characteristics. It is important to balance work and rest while also paying attention to details of daily life, creating a grand, relaxed, and enthusiastic atmosphere for the investigation.
3、 Strengthen measures, implement responsibilities, and make every effort to ensure the smooth progress of the application for the inspection of the World Geopark.
1. Establish a sound network for inspection work. In order to strengthen the organization and leadership of inspection welcoming work, the Mount Sanqing Party Committee and Management Committee have established a leading group for inspection welcoming work with the Secretary of the Party Committee as the leader, which consists of six working groups, namely, the comprehensive group (office), the technical materials group, the environmental improvement group, the reception group, the publicity and reporting group, and the safety and order group. All departments and units should also take corresponding measures to strengthen their leadership in the inspection work, timely study and solve difficulties and problems encountered in the work, and effectively carry out the current inspection work.
