On the Dragon Boat Festival in 2022, Sanqingshan UGGp held a series of folk experience activities, inviting children from Yinjiang She Ethnic Village to celebrate the festival with tourists.

Under the guidance of teachers, the children learned how to make zongzi (glutinous rice dumplings). The girls were quick-witted and dexterous, finishing the task in no time. The naughty boys were busy taking photos with tourists and couldn’t wait to taste the freshly cooked zongzi. The steaming hot zongzi were shared with visitors in the Geopark, bringing them warm festival greetings. 

Besides making zongzi, the Geopark also organized traditional rituals such as making fragrant sachets, hanging wormwood, placing calamus, and posting new couplets, which symbolize warding off evil spirits and inviting good fortune. The fun game “Mystery Zongzi Challenge” pushed the atmosphere to a climax. Novel flavors like garlic zongzi, wasabi zongzi, chili zongzi, and crayfish zongzi appeared one after another. Tourists made all kinds of funny expressions while tasting them, bringing waves of laughter.
