Sanqingshan World Geopark relies on a 5A-level rural tourism scenic area, She ethnic cultural village, Sanqingshan traditional folk customs, Sanqingshan paper-cutting, lanterns, Ma lantern opera and other folk cultural heritage to carry out rural-themed activities, such as the Yukeng Pumpkin Feast, Lotus Pond Feast, Hawthorn Festival, etc., and promote folk experience tourism. It has introduced the "Sanqingshan Special Homestay and Traditional Folk Catering Industry Development Support Measures (Trial)," to promote the development of special homestays and traditional folk customs and improve the quality of tourism services. In 2024, the Geopark Management Committee will invest about US$1.2 million to build a beautiful countryside demonstration site. Local residents are encouraged to engage in work such as tour guides, bearers, sanitation workers, or operate tourism services such as homestays and catering, to promote local economic development.
