Disaster Prevention and Mitigation

08-May-2026 21:42

Through the establishment of professional institutions such as the Sanqingshan Meteorological Observatory, the Geopark has set up an early warning system for geological disasters and ecological meteorology, and formulated prevention and emergency plans for meteorological disasters, geological disasters, forest fires, etc. This has significantly improved the geoparks capability of early warning and prevention against extreme weather, as well as its service level in disaster prevention and mitigation.

With the theme "Strengthen Fire Prevention Lines, Protect Green Areas", forest fire prevention drills were carried out. Participants included frontline grid administrators, resident doctors, public security auxiliary police, professional forest firefighters, and other personnel. The drill covered multiple procedures: fire detection and alarm, emergency response activation, personnel evacuation, fire suppression, medical rescue, and drill summary.

Regular meetings are held on production safety, flood control, drought relief, and forest fire prevention. Focus is placed on key areas including forest fire prevention, flood control, drought relief, tourism safety, road traffic safety, and geological disaster prevention. The working mechanism of leaders + experts + special teams + media is strictly implemented, together with a 24 hour on duty system. Emergency drills are carried out on a regular basis, and various emergency supplies are fully stocked, so as to continuously improve emergency response and scientific rescue capabilities.

Leverage the power of the rule of law to strengthen the ecological barrier and safeguard the bottom line of ecological and environmental protection.
