Event Commemorating the 52nd Earth Day
In order to commemorate the 52nd World Earth Day, guide the public to firmly establish the concepts of "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets " and "Harmonious Coexistence Between Human and Nature", and mobilize the whole people to actively participate in the great construction of ecological civilization, Sanqingshan UGGp launched geological science education activities to commemorate the 52nd World Earth Day.
During the event, the photographic picture display boards of 19 geoparks were placed in Jinsha Visitor Square and Sanqingshan Geological Museum. At the same time, the staff of Sanqingshan UGGp authority distributed the information of sister parks mutual exhibition to on-site tourists, research groups and community residents, and publicized and popularized the knowledge about World Earth Day and geoparks. Visitors, graduate students and community residents can also win tickets for 19 geoparks for free by answering questions on site.
Subsequently, the students of the research group visited the Sanqingshan Geological Museum to further understand the formation process of Sanqingshan UGGp, the geological landform of granite peak forest, earth and geological knowledge, biodiversity, red culture, national customs and so on. Students' understanding of protecting the earth, protecting geological heritages and protecting our living environment has been further strengthened.
