On December 6, 2023, the "Beautiful Shangrao, Free Mountains and Waters" Shangrao Global Tourism Promotion Conference was held at the Shanghai International Convention Center. At the event, Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark took the lead in conducting an online video exchange with nine sister UNESCO Global Geoparks worldwide.

The video linkage spanned Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The nine participating UNESCO Global Geoparks were: Jeonbuk West Coast UNESCO Global Geopark (Republic of Korea), Stonehammer UNESCO Global Geopark (Canada), Villuercas-Ibores-Jara UNESCO Global Geopark (Spain), Aras UNESCO Global Geopark (Iran), Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark (Iran), Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark (Iran), English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark (United Kingdom), Kütralkura UNESCO Global Geopark (Chile), and Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark (China).

During the exchange session, representatives from the nine UNESCO Global Geoparks jointly expressed through video their strong willingness to strengthen communication and cooperation among sister geoparks. All parties agreed that in the face of multiple challenges such as global climate change and ecological conservation, UNESCO Global Geoparks should join hands, share knowledge and experience, meet future challenges together, and work collectively toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting the sustainable development of the global geopark cause.
