During the program, Sanqingshan UGGp was awarded the title of “Natural Museum of Granite Micro-Landforms”. It is home to nine types of micro-landforms, including peaks, peak walls, peak clusters, and shaped stones, making it a critical area for studying the formation and evolution of granite landforms. The program highlighted two iconic scenic spots: Python Slithers out of Mountain and Oriental Goddess. The former is known as “the finest spectacle of granite landforms,” while the latter is regarded as one of the most beautiful peak forest landscapes in China.

In addition, the program interprets the geopark from the perspective of geological evolution. About 140 million years of geological movements formed the framework of the Geopark’s peak forests, while an annual precipitation of nearly 2,000 millimeters and special air currents have created spectacular seas of clouds here.
