On September 25, the Tai Chi Competition of the 6^th Shangrao Municipal Games opened at Sanqingshan UGGp. Tai Chi enthusiasts from 12 counties, county-level cities and districts across the city gathered here. Combining sports events with natural landscapes, they exchanged skills while experiencing the unique charm of the World Natural Heritage Site.

At the opening ceremony, Liu Chuanwei, on behalf of the athletes, and Cheng Wuyan, on behalf of the referees, took an oath respectively. Liu Chuanwei stated that he would strive to compete, respect opponents and referees, and demonstrate good sportsmanship. Cheng Wuyan promised to strictly abide by the refereeing rules to ensure the competition was conducted fairly and impartially.

Choosing Sanqingshan UGGp as the venue represents an active exploration of the “Sports + Tourism” model. As a treasure of traditional Chinese martial arts, Tai Chi enjoys wide popularity. This competition not only provides a platform for exchange and demonstration for contestants from various regions, but also allows more people to appreciate the profound heritage of traditional culture while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Geopark.
