On January 12, invited by Sanqingshan UGGp, a 70-member inspection group consisting of Malaysian travel agents arrived in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, kicking off an eight-day tourism route inspection. It was the first overseas travel merchant group to visit Sanqingshan UGGp in 2025, and also the largest Malaysian inspection tour group entering China since 2020.

On the evening of January 16, the "Beyond the Mountains – Sanqingshan" Overseas Tourism Promotion Conference (Malaysia Session) was held at the Hilton Sanqingshan Resort. Ge Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee of Sanqingshan UGGp, Xie Huajie, Director of Shangrao All-for-Tourism Center, and Liu WeiKang, President of the Chinese Malaysian Tourism Association, attended the event.

In his speech, Ge Jian stated that Sanqingshan UGGp boasts unique natural landscapes and profound cultural heritage, and looked forward to deepening cooperation with the Malaysian tourism industry. During the promotion conference, Lai Xinwei, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Sanqingshan Geopark Administrative Committee, signed a cooperation agreement with Liew Wai Khong, marking a new stage in tourism cooperation between the two sides.

Officials from the Shangrao Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and Sanqingshan UGGp delivered thematic promotions respectively. Jiangxi Lizhan International Travel Service and a number of cultural and tourism enterprises showcased their tour routes and reception capabilities on site. Liu WeiKang pledged to actively promote Sanqingshan UGGp to the Malaysian market and boost tourism exchanges between the two regions.

This promotion conference has built a platform for exchange and cooperation between the tourism industries of Shangrao and Malaysia. Both sides agreed to continue deepening cooperation to jointly promote the prosperity and development of the tourism industry.
