On February 20, the 2025 Sanqingshan UGGp Tour Guide Training Course came to a successful conclusion. The training aimed to improve the quality of tourism services, standardize the management of frontline practitioners, and cultivate a professional team of tour guides for the geopark. More than 450 tourism practitioners from neighboring provinces, cities and counties participated in the program.

In recent years, Sanqingshan UGGp has seen continuous growth in tourist arrivals, which has raised higher requirements for the professional competence of tour guides. The training covered a wide range of professional fields, including scenic spot features, Taoist culture, new media operation, medical first aid, commentary skills, service etiquette, and administrative regulations. After the training, newly recruited tour guides took an interview and examination to ensure practical results.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Jiang Quhui, Director of the Bureau of Culture and Tourism of Sanqingshan UGGp. Lai Xinwei, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Sanqingshan Geopark Administrative Committee, delivered an opening speech and raised three expectations for the participants: First, recognize the practical significance of the training in polishing Sanqingshan’s cultural tourism brand and establishing a good image; second, seize the opportunity to improve personal capabilities and qualities; third, jointly create a favorable atmosphere of “everyone talks about Sanqingshan UGGp”. Jiang Quhui introduced the background and significance of the training and encouraged the participants to integrate knowledge with practice.

The training has comprehensively improved the professional capabilities of the tour guide team. In the future, all tour guides will inherit the beauty of Sanqingshan UGGp with more professional services, strive to be outstanding cultural envoys, and contribute to the development of the geopark’s tourism industry.
