On the morning of July 8th, the 2018 Little Preparatory Diplomat Final, sponsored by the Sanqingshan Administrative Committee, was held at the Sanqingshan Huake Villa. In the final round, 20 outstanding young contestants from Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong provinces delivered impressive performances in segments such as the “Creative English Self-Introduction” Q&A, “I Am an English Tour Guide”, and a special session commemorating the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up.
Despite their young age, the children demonstrated remarkable spoken English skills and shared their unique perspectives on topics including the development of their hometowns, urban transformation, and cultural tourism. In addition to showcasing their talents, the finalists and their parents were invited to enjoy a three-day, two-night complimentary summer parent–child tour in Sanqingshan.
To enrich the experience, the Sanqingshan Administrative Committee also invited experts to deliver speeches and engage in discussions, which were warmly received by both contestants and parents.
The competition awarded one Grand Prize, one First Prize, four Second Prizes, six Third Prizes, and four Excellence Awards. In addition, special individual awards were presented for Best Spoken English, Best Tourism Promotion, Best Creativity, and Best Internet Popularity, along with cash prizes and honorary certificates. As part of the grand prize, the champion will have the opportunity to travel to the United States for a study tour, serving as a "Little Tourism Promotion Ambassador" to introduce the Sanqingshan UGGp to an international audience and support the global promotion of this renowned tourist destination.
