A few days ago, the “New Opportunities for World Heritage Conservation and Development” summit was held in Changbaishan. Experts from China, the United States, Australia, and other countries engaged in in-depth discussions on the opportunities and challenges facing world heritage sites. They offered valuable insights and recommendations for heritage conservation and development, ultimately reaching the “Changbaishan Consensus”.

During the summit, James Hardcastle, Global Director of the IUCN Green List, presented the IUCN’s 2017 World Heritage Outlook Report. He highlighted that China’s world heritage sites are performing above the global average. Notably, 33% of China's heritage sites were rated as “GOOD”, a proportion significantly higher than the global average, positioning China as a model for world heritage protection.

Sanqingshan Natural World Heritage Site is proud to be among the “GOOD”-rated sites. Only five heritage sites in China have received this distinguished evaluation.
