The Stone Carvings of Sanqingshan

The stone carvings in Sanqingshan are divided into ancient and modern ones. The ancient stone carvings mainly consist of those from the Ming Dynasty, and they are distributed in the northern and central parts of Sanqingshan Mountain and around the Sanqingshan Sacred Land. There are over 260 sites including halls, gateways, archways, stone figures, stone deities, stone dragons, stone tigers, couplets, inscriptions, and stone tombs. They are mainly based on Taoist cultural themes, forming a unique ancient architectural wonder of "Taoism and陵 together" in Sanqingshan， which is an unparalleled cultural heritage treasure of diverse stone carvings and hidden cultural relics in the world. It is hailed as "the open-air museum of ancient Taoist architecture in China"， a labyrinthic sacred place of Chinese secluded culture， and the rich cultural accumulation makes this picturesque mountain even more magnificent.

The modern stone carvings in Sanqing Mountain are mainly located in Nanqing Garden in the south and Yujing Peak in the middle of the mountain.
