On August 2, the Mount Sanqing World Geopark and the Stonehammer World Geopark from Canada were officially established as sister parks. Chen Xiaoping, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Mount Sanqing Party Committee, William David, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Stonehammer World Geopark, and Gavin Brenner, CEO, attended the signing ceremony of the sister park.



It is reported that the Stone Hammer World Geopark is located on the east coast of Canada and was listed on the World Geopark List in 2010. The rocks in this geological park record the evolution of life and important geological events in history, and have extremely valuable scientific research value.

This time, Mount Sanqing and the Canadian Stone Hammer World Geopark are concluded as sister parks, which will strengthen the cooperation between the two sides in geopark management, geological heritage protection, sustainable economic development, tourism promotion and popular science education, and at the same time, carry out high-level communication, expand exchange and learning, so as to better manage the geopark and promote the common development of tourism economy.
