On May 11-14, Mount Sanqing Geopark sent personnel to the Yunxian Volcano World Geopark in Nagasaki, Japan, to participate in the 5th UNESCO International Geopark Conference.

87 global geoparks from 27 countries participated in this conference, with the theme of Earth Heritage and Sustainable Development. During the meeting, the delegation of Mount Sanqing Geopark fully displayed the rich and colorful granite geological heritage resources of Mount Sanqing through exhibition board publicity, data dissemination and other forms, shared the experience and practices of Mount Sanqing in heritage protection, and at the same time, fully communicated with the participants to promote international exchanges.

After the meeting, the delegation of Mount Sanqing Geopark met with Nickolas Zouros, an expert from the Executive Board of the World Geoparks Network, and introduced the heritage protection and science popularization research work carried out by Mount Sanqing Geopark in recent years, which was praised by experts and prepared for the early expert communication for the upcoming UNESCO experts' field investigation and assessment.
