On March 25-28, the Mount Sanqing Geopark sent its staff to participate in the first workshop of world geopark managers held in Hong Kong to share experience in geopark management and popular science education with representatives of 13 geoparks from China and Japan.

The purpose of holding this workshop is to strengthen the exchange of geoparks in the Asia Pacific region and promote the management of geoparks. The activities are rich in content, including seminars, electronic classrooms, and visits to the Hong Kong Science Museum, which have benefited all delegates greatly. Dr. Mary Louise Frey, an expert from the Executive Bureau of the World Geoparks Network, was also invited to participate in this event
