From May 11 to 14, Mount Sanqing Geopark sent personnel to the Yunxian Volcano World Geopark in Nagasaki, Japan, to participate in the 5th UNESCO International Geopark Conference.

A total of 87 global geoparks from 27 countries were invited to participate in this conference. The conference is chaired by the Executive Board of UNESCO, with the theme of Earth Heritage and Sustainable Development. During the conference, the delegation of Mount Sanqing World Geopark made full use of the conference platform to fully promote the brand of Mount Sanqing Geopark through the form of exhibition board publicity, data dissemination and news media.

After the meeting, under the guidance of relevant experts, the delegation of Mount Sanqing Geopark met with Mr. Nicholas, an expert of the Executive Board, and took the initiative to introduce to the experts the heritage protection and science popularization research work carried out by Mount Sanqing Geopark in recent years, which was well received by the experts and prepared for the early expert communication for the upcoming field investigation and assessment of UNESCO experts.

Mount Sanqing World Geopark fully displayed the rich and colorful granite geological heritage resources of Mount Sanqing, shared the experience and practices of Mount Sanqing in heritage protection, and fully communicated with the representatives to promote international exchanges.
