Recently, the "2012 Summer School of International Intensive Training for World Geoparks" was held in Lesvos Island, Greece. As the only invited unit in China, Mount Sanqing attended all the courses, and explained and displayed the Mount Sanqing Geopark course in English in the training practice class, which was highly concerned and appreciated by peers.

This training attracted managers and experts from 12 countries including China, Greece, France, Portugal, Germany, Spain, and Argentina to participate in global geopark management. The theme of the training is "natural heritage protection and management, tourism and sustainable development of local economy", as well as the promotion of earth culture and geopark management, the evaluation method of geopark management and activities, and the future of geoparks. It has important reference and inspiration value for the protection and management of Mount Sanqing Geopark and the world natural heritage.

During the training, Mount Sanqing also signed a letter of intent for friendly geopark cooperation with Lesvos Island Petrochemical Forest Park in Greece, laying a solid foundation for the scenic spot to move towards the international cooperation platform of the world geopark.
