From July 17 to 19, Kamela, Deputy Director of UNESCO World Heritage Center, and his delegation came to Mount Sanqing Scenic Spot for investigation. Zha Qizhi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Mount Sanqing Scenic Area, and heads of tourism bureau and other relevant departments were accompanied.
During the inspection, Carmela and her delegation visited scenic spots such as Nanqing Garden, Wanshou Garden, West Coast, East Coast, Sanqing Fudi, and Pastoral Pastoral. Mount Sanqing's granite geology and landform, natural landscape, biodiversity, Taoist cultural relics and aboriginal tourism development projects left a deep impression on the delegation.
Kamela highly praised the work of Mount Sanqing in the protection and management of scenic resources. She said: This is my first time to China, to Mount Sanqing. I was surprised by the beautiful natural landscape of Mount Sanqing, the scientific and standardized management, and the reasonable arrangements made by the masses. It is hoped that through the upcoming World Youth Volunteer China Action in Mount Sanqing, more foreigners will know about Mount Sanqing and participate in the protection of Mount Sanqing World Natural Heritage Site.
It is reported that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the promulgation of the World Heritage Convention, and UNESCO will hold celebration activities in 40 countries and regions around the world. Mount Sanqing will host the "2012 International Youth Volunteers' Walk into Mount Sanqing Summer Camp" from August 4 to August 8. At that time, nearly 40 international young volunteers from 9 countries and regions will carry out summer camp activities in Mount Sanqing and participate in the resource protection of Mount Sanqing Scenic Area.
