On the afternoon of October 14, 2011, Liu Shuzong, secretary of the Mount Sanqing Party Committee, Yang Shaou, director of the management committee, Zha Qizhi, deputy director of the management committee, Yin Guosheng, vice president of Jiangxi Geological Survey and Research Institute, Dr. Ye Zhanghuang of Donghua Institute of Technology, and comrades in charge of the Mount Sanqing Geopark Management Bureau held a discussion on Mount Sanqing's application for the World Geopark in the meeting room of Shangrao Office of the Mount Sanqing Management Committee.

The application experts first reported the route work of the investigation team's field survey and scientific examination, and had a warm discussion with the party and government leaders in Mount Sanqing on the itinerary of the investigation, the current situation, and the ideas for inspection and rectification. Secretary Liu Shuzong, Director Yang Shaou, and Deputy Director Cha Qizhi of the Management Committee respectively made speeches on the expert inspection itinerary, geological park landmark design and construction, environmental remediation plan, application for self-assessment (A) form to support the compilation of archival materials, scientific research guidelines, and the construction and excavation of new scenic spots along the Yuling Guan Fengmen route.
