To protect the ecological environment of the World Natural Heritage Site and safeguard the safety of ancient and famous trees, Sanqingshan UGGp hereby announces the prohibition on climbing and damaging ancient trees as follows:

I. Protected Objects
The rare ancient tree communities in Sanqingshan UGGp include southern yew, ginkgo, Chinese torreya and other precious species. Among them, there are more than 1,000 ancient trees over 100 years old, and some are more than 1,000 years old. These ancient trees take root deep in rock crevices and serve as important ecological resources for maintaining water and soil conservation and biodiversity.

II. Prohibited Acts
1.Tree climbing is strictly prohibited. Branches are fragile in winter; climbing may easily cause branches to break and endanger personal safety.
2.Branch breaking is strictly prohibited. Branches are vital for tree growth; damage will harm the health of the trees.
3.Carving is strictly prohibited. Bark is the protective layer of trees, carving may cause diseases and infections.

III. Civilized Visitation Initiative
1.It is recommended to use telephoto lenses to photograph ancient trees and avoid close contact.
2.Do not pick leaves or branches, carve bark, or hang objects on trees.
3.Please take your garbage to designated bins and do not litter.
