The 46th Earth Day event
April 22, 2015 was the 46th World Earth Day. Administrative bureau of Shanqingshan UGGp carries out a series of scientific education and popularization activities focusing on tourists and students on the subject of “value earth resources and transform development mode—improving resources utilizing benefit”.
First, distribute questionnaires and publicity brochures at Jinsha Service Area and Waishuangxi Service Area, and conduct on-site science education lectures to enhance public awareness of the importance of geological resources and their voluntary protection.
Second, invite Professor Mr. Li Zhong dong of Sichuang Bureau of Geology & Mineral Resources to explain and science education in classroom with vivid and simple statement to let students realize the value of Shanqingshan geological resource to practice the idea of “be little host of protecting Shanqingshan UGGp” consciously.
Over 200 questionnaires and publicity brochures were distributed during this event. Nearly 100 students from two central primary schools participated in museum visits and science education lectures. The event fostered a strong atmosphere of resource conservation in the Geopark.
