Cabot's Tragopan (Tragopan caboti): A species endemic to China, a Class I national key protected wild bird, and classified as Vulnerable (VU) on the IUCN Red List. The male has a chestnut-brown upper body covered with pale yellow round spots bordered with black. Its crown is black, with a black and chestnut-red crest. The flight feathers are dark brown with yellowish-brown markings. The underparts are almost pure yellowish-brown; since the belly feathers are buff-yellow, it is named "Cabot's Tragopan" (Yellow-bellied Tragopan). It possesses a brilliant fleshy wattle composed of turquoise and vermilion, as well as turquoise fleshy horns, which are displayed to females during the breeding season. The female is mostly brownish-brown throughout, densely covered with fine black, yellowish-brown and white streaks. The upper body is scattered with black spots, and the underparts have numerous white spots.
