Magnolia officinalis: Leaves emarginate and forming 2 rounded lobes at apex. Flowers white, solitary and terminal; peduncles thick and short, villose. Aggregate cylindric-ovoid; follicles woody, with short beaks. In forests, alt. 300-1400 m.
