Five Elders Pilgrimage

The bases of five granite peaks are connected, and their tops are cone-shaped. From a distance, they look like five elders walking on a pilgrimage path. According to Taoism, there is a concept of five elders, hence the name 'Five Elders Pilgrimage.' This formation is caused by near-vertical fractures (joints) in the granite body gradually expanding due to weathering and erosion from water flow, freeze-thaw cycles, and other factors, leading to gravitational collapse.

1. The granite mountain mass is fractured along joints.

2. The granite body undergoes weathering, erosion, and collapse from water flow, ice, and snow, forming a granite peak cluster resembling the Five Elders Pilgrimage (including collapsed rock blocks).
