Countless scepters pointing to the sky

‘Ten Thousand Scepters Facing the Sky’ is a granite peak wall landscape composed of seven upright peak pillars. The pillars resemble the scepters held by officials during their audience with the emperor in ancient China, hence the name. It was formed as the granite body was cut by two sets of vertical joints oriented east-west and north-south, and subjected to weathering, erosion, and water erosion. It is a typical example of the evolution of a granite peak wall into peak pillars.
