Sanqingshan Camellia Oil is a product with National Agricultural Product Geographical Indication. Camellia oleifera has been cultivated in China for more than 2,300 years, especially popular in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Camellia fruits from around Sanqingshan are large and plump, harvested around Frost’s Descent. Made from wild camellia seeds via physical pressing, the oil is golden, clear and fragrant, rich in unsaturated fatty acids, and honored as the “Oriental Olive Oil”.
