On October 20, 2020, the online meeting of the Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network Coordinating Committee was successfully held. Representatives of the Global Geoparks Network, representatives of the Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network, geopark experts, scholars, and others gathered together to jointly discuss the development of global geoparks. The management staff of Sanqing Mountain Global Geopark attended this meeting. 

At the meeting, Jin Xiaochi, Vice Chairman of the Global Geoparks Network and Coordinator of the Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network, gave a summary report on the activities carried out by the Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network since the 6th Asia-Pacific Geoparks Conference in 2019; Nicholas Zouros, Chair of the Executive Board of the Global Geoparks Network, explained the activity arrangements of the Global Geoparks Network for 2021; and the representative of Hong Kong Global Geopark introduced the achievements in applying social media in the Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network. Meanwhile, representatives of global geoparks from China, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, South Korea, and other countries gave special presentations on the revival and development of parks under the pandemic. The meeting also discussed specific strategies for achieving sustainable development of global geoparks during the pandemic. 

The convening of this meeting has provided guidance for the development of Sanqing Mountain Global Geopark under the pandemic.
