Introduction to China University of Geosciences

China University of Geosciences, Beijing (CUGB) is located on Xueyuan Road, Haidian District, Beijing, where many famous universities gather. It is a world-renowned institution of higher learning. As a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and co-constructed with the Ministry of Natural Resources, the university successfully entered the list of national "Double First-Class" university construction in 2017.

CUGB is a research-oriented university featuring geology, resources and environment, with a complete range of disciplines covering science, engineering, liberal arts, management, economics, law and other fields. Among them, two disciplines - Geology, and Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, are selected as national "Double First-Class" construction disciplines; 12 disciplinary fields have entered the top 1% of ESI globally, among which four disciplinary fields - Earth Sciences, Engineering, Environment/Ecology, and Chemistry have ranked among the top 1‰ globally, and the Earth Sciences discipline has even ranked 7th in the world, demonstrating the university's top academic strength in related fields.
