On August 30, the 2025 First Sanqingshan International Photography Contest, themed World Heritage, Sanqing Secret Realm, was held at Sanqingshan UGGp in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province. Hosted jointly by Sanqingshan Geopark Administrative Committee of Jiangxi and CNS International Communication Group, this is the first international photography event ever held by the geopark for a global audience.

Sanqingshan UGGp, located in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, is a World Natural Heritage Site and a national 5A-level tourist attraction, famous for its spectacular granite peak forest landscapes. Major scenic spots in the Geopark include Nanqing Park, West Coast, and Sanqing Temple.

The contest attracted nearly 100 photographers from multiple countries including Russia, France, the United Kingdom, as well as domestic photographers across China. On the opening day, photographers began a two-day intensive field trip in the geopark, capturing geological landforms, sea of clouds scenery, and Taoist cultural heritage.

Xiao Ge, Vice Chairman of Jiangxi Photographers Association, stated that Sanqingshan UGGp provides rich materials for photographic creation and hoped photographers would record the natural and cultural value of the geopark through their works. Jay Ilich, a British photographer, expressed his expectation to help more people learn about Sanqingshan UGGp through photography.

Chen Jianhui, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of China News Service, attended the opening ceremony and announced the launch of the contest. According to the organizers, specific arrangements for the subsequent work collection, evaluation, and exhibition will be announced separately.
