Huaiyushan Junior High School

Founded in 1957, Yushan Huaiyushan Junior High School is situated at the foot of Huaiyu Mountain, a sacred revolutionary site (Malu Village, Huaiyu Township, Yushan County). It is a public junior high school rooted in the remote mountains, committed to fostering virtue and morality. Located in the core red cultural area on the northern foot of Sanqingshan, the school draws on the resources of Huaiyu Mountain National Patriotic Education Base. Guided by Fang Zhimin’s spirit of “Patriotism, Innovation, Frugality and Dedication”, it undertakes the mission of providing compulsory junior high education for teenagers in the Huaiyushan area.

The school takes red education as its distinctive school-running feature. It compiles red school-based textbooks, organizes red hiking study tours, and develops red-themed ideological and political classrooms, deeply integrating red genes into the whole process of education and teaching. In 2022, the school was awarded the title of “Model School for Red Gene Inheritance” in Jiangxi Province.
