On the morning of February 23, the Mount Sanqing Painting and Calligraphy Academy held the unveiling ceremony of the teaching practice base of the School of Arts of Renmin University of China and the creation base of the Calligraphy and Painting Celebrity Daily. Mount Sanqing is not only a world natural heritage, but also a famous Taoist and cultural mountain. The School of Art of Renmin University of China and the Painting and Calligraphy Celebrity Daily have established teaching practice bases and creation bases here, which will certainly promote the deep integration of tourism and culture, highlight the cultural characteristics, era characteristics and heritage characteristics of Mount Sanqing, and improve the grade of Mount Sanqing.

After successfully applying for the World Geopark, Mount Sanqing invited Professor Wang Changji, Director of the Environmental Division of the National Park Administration of the United States, to carry out training on geopark related knowledge in order to further improve the management concept and ability of park staff. Professor Wang introduced the history of American national parks, discussed how to strengthen the science popularization function of the parks, how to deal with the relationship between resource protection and tourism development, etc., and provided ideas for improving the protection and management of Mount Sanqing World Geopark.

The early work of Mount Sanqing's application for the World Geopark is progressing smoothly. In mid June, UNESCO experts will visit and evaluate the site. The evaluation results will be reviewed at the subsequent World Geopark Review Conference to finally determine whether Mount Sanqing is awarded the World Geopark.

On May 25th, the National Tourism Administration announced the first batch of "National Tourist Price Trustworthy Scenic Spots" list, with a total of 1801 tourist attractions selected. Forty five scenic spots in Jiangxi Province, including Lushan Mountain, Jinggang Mountain and Mount Sanqing, were selected as the first batch of "trustworthy" scenic spots in China.

From December 3 to 9, Mount Sanqing Scenic Area was invited to participate in the 2013 annual meeting of the International Volunteer Coordination Committee held in Qufu, Shandong. The conference is hosted by the International Committee for the Coordination of Volunteers (CCIVS) and organized by the Training Center of the Chinese Society of Education and the Cultural Relics Bureau of Qufu City.
