Granite is a common and widespread igneous rock on Earth. It forms when magma originating deep in the crust or upper mantle intrudes into the middle-upper crust and cools slowly and crystallizes. It is therefore also called intrusive rock. Its formation depth is usually 5–30 kilometers below the Earth’s surface, so it is also classified as a plutonic rock.
What Are the Sources of Air Pollution?
The Earth has a typical concentric layer structure. The solid parts are divided from the surface to the center into the crust, mantle, and core, forming the Earth's inner three spheres. The ever-moving atmosphere, the dynamic and turbulent hydrosphere, and the vibrant biosphere are the Earth's outer three spheres.
