Liriodendron chinens

Liriodendron chinense: A large deciduous tree belonging to the genus Liriodendron in the family Magnoliaceae.Leaves are large, resembling a  Chinese jacket (Tunic shape). It can reach up to 40 m in height with a diameter at breast height exceeding 1 m, and has a straight and smooth trunk.

Branchlets are gray or grayish-brown. Leaves are Chinese-jacket shaped; flowers are cup-shaped. The outer whorl of tepals is green, sepal-like, curved and drooping outward; the petal-like tepals are obovate, green with yellow longitudinal stripes. Fruit aggregate is fusiform. Occurs in mountain forests at an altitude of 900–1000 m.
